Protect All Children Today Inc (PACT) takes great pleasure in inviting you to the Protecting Children Today Conference 2009 (PACT09), to be held at the Sebel & Citigate King George Square, Brisbane from 25-27 March 2009.
PACT09 continues with the 2006 conference theme, "From little things, big things grow" as it facilitates the exploration of a diverse range of issues associated with the protection and wellbeing of children and young people.
This year's conference aims to address the complex child protection issues, prevalent in our society today, as they interface with justice and other community sectors. This conference will provide an opportunity to learn about issues impacting upon participants' capacity to protect children, and also provide networking opportunities. Through achieving this, PACT09 will address the following themes:

Justice: This strand focuses on contemporary research and practice as it relates to children in the justice system.

Proactive Education: This strand will explore proactive child protection approaches and preventative programs.

Therapeutic Intervention: This strand will focus on various models of therapeutic support and intervention.
PACT09 is set to attract approximately 200-300 delegates from key industry groups around Queensland and interstate. Interactive plenary and concurrent sessions will feature experts speaking about the latest developments in the child protection sector.
